Palak Gosht

( Meat with Spinach )

Ingredients: One pkg frozen spinach blended, 3tsp oil,one small onion cutup,half inch ginger root chopped and crushed,3 cloves garlic chopped,half tsp each of chilli powder,ground corriander,ground cummin,ground turmeric,four tomatoes skinned and chopped, salt to taste, 2 lbs of lamb or beef cut up.

Heat oil in pan, fry onion light brown, add ginger, garlic and all ground species, fry two minutes, add tomatoes and salt and fry for five minutes, add the meat and cook for seven minutes, add half a cup of water, cook till meat is tender, add spinach puree, stir well, cover and simmer for five minutes.

Serve with steamed rice.
